Real recipes. Real kitchens. Real families. This is where home cooking lives.
The Cozy Kitchen started in 2019 in a small apartment in Nashville, Tennessee, with a single goal: prove that incredible home-cooked food doesn't require a culinary degree, expensive equipment, or hours of free time.
Founder Sarah Mitchell spent years collecting recipes from her grandmother's handwritten notecards, testing them until they were foolproof, and sharing them with friends who kept asking for copies. When those friends started telling their friends, it became clear there was something worth building here.
Today, The Cozy Kitchen reaches over 2 million home cooks every month across the United States. Every single recipe is tested in a real home kitchen — not a professional studio — before it ever reaches you.
We believe cooking is one of the most meaningful things you can do for yourself and the people you love. Our job is to make sure nothing gets in your way.
Three principles guide everything we publish
We make every recipe at least 3 times before publishing. We test substitutions, note what goes wrong, and only share what genuinely works.
No commercial ovens, immersion circulators, or obscure ingredients. If it doesn't work on a regular gas stove with grocery store staples, it doesn't go on the site.
Sponsored content is always clearly labeled. Affiliate links are disclosed. We never recommend a product we haven't personally used and loved.
